Full team training session plan:
Activation - 5 minutes
Kick ups work on footwork, balance and technique. Great starter activity.
Ball Mastery - 10-15 minutes
Arguably the most important skill in a child's development. Helps get them completely comfortable on the ball. In this session we began with some standard dribbling and side to sides to get them used to their touch, and then focused on the stepover, scissor (reverse stepover) and the Iniesta.
Passing and Receiving - 10 minutes
Working in pairs of similar ability. Main points being to follow through in the air and not "dig" into the ground when passing or controlling.
1v1's - 10-15 minutes
Encouraging players to be confident on the ball. Working on both attacking and defending.
Matches - 10-15 minutes
