My mom used to have this 1977 Russian lamp on her bed desk, but later on it was put aside and forgotten. I decided to restore it in a way that it fits into modern room design.
After dismantling, I cleaned the dust simply with water.
For painted parts I used paint remover.
I cleaned little bits that did not get removed with a wire brush.
I sanded the surface and then covered it with a primer.
After sanding the primer, I painted the parts with ice white paint.
I sanded and covered plastic parts with wax.
For metal parts, they were sanded as well and then polished.
