Riding an elephant up to Amer Fort in Jaipur, India is a once-in-a-lifetime experience which hundreds of tourists a day get to enjoy. The elephant ride is slow (about 20-30 minutes) and bouncy but you get a great view of the area outside the fort. You then enter the fort through the main entrance which is known as Suraj Pol or Sun Gate. Amer Fort is also known as Amer Palace, Amber Fort, or Amber Palace and as you will see through my Amer Fort video, brings you back in time to experience what it was like in former centuries.
