Have you ever tried antiquing glaze on your painted furniture? I really like to use the @valsparpaint brand especially on white furniture to make the details pop. Just apply with a small artist brush onto the details and wipe back to desired look with a damp lint free cloth. You can apply it to bigger areas with a link free cloth and wipe back the same way.
