STORYLINE
YOUNG DESIGNERS SHOW AT DAY TWO OF LAKME FASHION WEEK.
The highlight of the second day of the Lakme Fashion Week 2010 in Mumbai was a collection by ten Gen Next designers chosen to represent the talent and creativity of the new generation of designers in India.
The show titled "Defining the Future of Fashion" featured young designers Aneeth Arora, Anuj Sharma,Kallol Datta, Kunal Rawal, Nachiket Barve, Nitin Bal Chauhan, Rahul Mishra, Rimzim Dadu, Sailex Ngairangbam and Swapnil Shinde.
The collections ranged from international styles to Indian silhouettes using traditional fabrics and crafts.
The designers used a range of shades, textures, prints and shapes in collections called Global Local, Simplicity,Black Humorist, Deconstruction,Neo-Sophisticate,Freedom, Evolution,Texture Machinist, Glam Rock and Provocative.
The creations were a mix of edgy comfort, stylish wearability and unconventional fusion wear for both men and women.
Celebrated designer Ritu Kumar also showcased her pr�t line created under 'The Label' reflecting an old world charm .
The collection, presented in collaboration with her son and upcoming designer Amrish Kumar , was called 'Summer Constellations' .
The ramp was decorated with fairy lights, providing a glittering background to drapes in sheer georgettes and knits along with hand woven textiles.
The designer created a synthesis of contemporary styles with vintage inspiration for the evening wear line.

Lakm� Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2010 will run through September 21.
