⭐️ How to remove black lichen from a patio. Pressure washing and chemical treating (using sodium hypochlorite)
This filthy Indian sandstone patio was in much need of some TLC. Over 20 years of dirt, grime and lichen had taken over this area. The patio was first pressure washed with a high pressure turbo nozzle to remove all the dirt and white lichen spores. It was then treated with sodium hypochlorite to break down all the black patio spots (black spot lichen). This should help keep it free from returning lichen spores for at least 2 years. White lichen on a patio is typically only removable with high pressure. White lichen has very little reaction to sodium hypochlorite solutions.
