Press conference with the Rector of the Politecnico di Torino Guido Saracco, the vice-rector for Welfare, Sustainability and Sport of the Università degli Studi di Torino Alberto Rainoldi, the president of FISU Leonz Eder, the sports councillor of the Regione Piemonte Fabrizio Ricca, the vice-mayor of Torino Michela Favaro, the president of the CUS Torino Riccardo D’Elicio and the president of the Organizing Committee of the Torino 2025 Games Alessandro Ciro Sciretti.
Guest of honor was the legend of Italian sport Livio Berruti, 3 golds in athletics at his first Universiade of Torino 1959 (100, 200, 4×100) and the Olympic gold medal in the 200 meters at the 1960 Rome Olympics. Berruti was also the last torchbearer who lit the brazier during the Ceremony opening of the Torino 2007 Winter Universiade.
