The tour of Fuerteventura continues and in this vlog I visit ✨Isla de Lobos✨
This is a small island located on the north east of Fuerteventura, just a 10/15 minute water taxi ride from Corralejo 🇮🇨
It is a protected natural area which has been part of the Biosphere Reserve of Fuerteventura since 2009 🏝️
The island gets its name from the monk seals 🦭 that would come here, but became extinct in the 1920s.
You can walk the island by following the marked path. It takes around 2,5 hours to go around it 🔄
Some people also ride a bike, which is a good idea to save time as you need a permit to visit the island, available for 2 slots (10 am - 2 pm / 2 - 6 pm). When I bought my water taxi ticket I was told that they aren’t as strict as before with the permit (no one checked or asked for mown for example).

What you can visit:
- Las lagunitas
- De Martiño lighthouse
- Montaña la Caldera, 127 m high (highest spot and it’s not a difficult hike)
- The salt pans (not operating)
- The beautiful playa de la concha

The place is beautiful, you can enjoy the mountain and the beach in the same place and beautiful views of Corralejo as well as Lanzarote 🙌🏼
