Volunteers help us a lot during the translocation of Aquatic Warblers. As many as 6 girls from Šilutė Vydūnas Gymnasium and two biology teachers helped us to take care of the growing baby-birds. Some of the girls were still caring for the birds at the Zuvintas reserve directorate, attending events, while others were visiting them in the aviaries. Anyway, most of the girls helped with the juveniles' food - they were catching and selected the insects for them. It is interesting for girls from Šilutė to see how the birds are protected on the other side of Lithuania, as in their region, this globally endangered species is also protected.
This is one of a video diary series about translocation of aquatic warbler juveniles.
