Police have summoned a number Members of Parliament who have recently come out to openly oppose the proposed amendment of the constitution to remove the presidential age limit.
The MPs have been summoned to record statements in a case in which they are accused of offensive communication and inciting violence.
The summoned include Kampala Central MP Muhammad Nsereko, Lwemiyaga MP Theodore Ssekikubo, Buyaga West MP Barnabus Tinkasimire and Makindye West MP Allan Ssewanyana.
Meanwhile, there has been heavy police deployment around parliament today as tension surrounding a proposed amendment lifting the presidential age limit continues to rise.
