Everyone makes mistakes at the poker table - whether it's making a bad call or forgetting to put in your blinds or antes. Whilst playing a cash game at the Boston Billiard Club, Rampage Poker made the biggest blunder of his illustrious career and it was all caught on his vlogging camera! Will he ever be able to forgive himself for this catastrophic error?!
When you have a huge combo draw, such as a straight and a flush draw, it can often be a great poker strategy to raise over a bet. You will always have a decent amount of equity against any poker hand your opponent might have, which allows you to call another raise or even an all-in with your hand.
Ethan Yau, a.k.a Rampage, is a popular YouTuber and poker player. 🔍 Preflop:
Rampage Poker limps in from under the gun with QJ of spades. The player in the small blind raises to $20 and the big blind player calls. Rampage, already holding 20% of a royal flush with his suited broadway cards, also calls and they head to the flop three-way.
💸 Flop - Th 9s 6s:
Rampage flops a huge combo draw on the ten-high connected flop. The small blind is first to act and fires out a continuation bet of $30. The big blind folds, but Rampage decides to play his two overcards, open-ended straight draw and queen-high flush draw aggressively, choosing to raise to $125. The small blind 3-bets all-in for $575 and Rampage calls. It seems like this is going to be a routine hand as the dealer peels off the turn and river cards. However, what Rampage does at the end of this hand is truly baffling! Stay tuned until the end of the video to find out what happens.
