This tutorial covers my design for a very cool, futuristic, sci-fi weapon. I discuss my thought process, share insights as to asset selection, edits, and processing, and how it all works to make this weapons sound come to life.
If you are having trouble getting your weapons to be more punchy, layer more effectively, or blend a mix of synth and realistic sounds then this is the tutorial for you :)
This only covers the 2d, player asset. Often my NPC weapons are similar assets, but with eq, delay, and reverb to worldize them a bit and to reduce the low end punch. Distant weapons are an entirely different set of assets.
