Parliament’s committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises has summoned Bank of Uganda Governor Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile and his deputy Louis Kasekende to respond to claims of irregularities in the sale of defunct banks.
This followed revelations in a special report of the Auditor General of unaccounted-for money and missing land titles among other things.
Committee Chairperson Abdu Katuntu says the committee will start its work by next Wednesday.
