The origins of hot cross buns go all the way back to the 12th century. The way the story goes, an Anglican monk made the buns and put a cross on top to honor Good Friday. It later gained popularity and was made for Easter weekend. This is my version of Belizean Creole Bun. It is light/lite meaning less sugar than the normal buns.
