Tonight, we go sight fly fishing for redfish on floodtide of the South Carolina Lowcountry....Throughout the rotation of the tides, and more importantly, moon cycles, there are some high tides that will flood the grass flats of the Lowcountry. Known as Flood Tides, these tides bring redfish high on to the flats to chase fiddler crabs, shrimp, and other bait. Sight fishing in essence is like hunting. You see the fish, then target the fish, & hopefully catch the fish. Tonight, we got lucky. Specifically, we target these saltwater fish by waiting for them to show us their backs, tails, or noticing any big wakes on the flat. The idea is to cast in a way that your lure will intercept the fish. BOOM! Fish on!
Follow us along, as we catch a couple beauties tonight.
