More states and territories are reacting to the COVID-19 cluster which has emerged in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, imposing various restrictions such as self-quarantine requirements.
The Northern Beaches' cluster grew to 17 cases on Thursday, with New South Wales Health issuing an alert for residents to follow a number of public health measures over the next three days.
Queensland is requiring anyone already in the state who has been at Sydney’s Northern Beaches to self-quarantine for 14 days, while anyone who arrives from 1am on Saturday will be sent to hotel quarantine.
Tasmania will not permit anyone from the Northern Beaches Local Government Area to enter.
The Northern Territory has also declared the Northern Beaches Council area a hot spot; anyone entering from there will be forced to enter quarantine for two weeks.
