A clarification on the dates from Josephus for Herod's conquest of Jerusalem: Josephus dates this event 3 ways: Consuls, Olympiad, and from Pompey's conquest of Jerusalem. However, he dates it 2 *different* ways--the Olympiad date does not conflict with the named Consuls, and *may* not conflict with the Pompey date either; Olympiads covered a span of 4 years.
