We are really scraping the barrel (and our skis...) this season when it comes to off piste skiing. With only 1 meaningful snowfall all winter, there is not much to go at :( Spring combat skiing in February it is then! I chose the striking Col de la Forclaz/Couloir de Doran due to its sunny, wide open aspect, hoping for some sweet spring corn. Sadly it was more chattery than i had hoped, but it is still a great journey none the less. I have been wanting to tick this off for a long time, as it dominates the skyline on the drive to Geneva, something which i do nearly every day for a living. It may not be steep or technical, but not everything needs to be in a death fall zone to be fun!
