The University of California in Los Angeles is on lockdown after two people were reportedly injured in a shooting.
Swat teams are searching for a suspect in the engineering building, and all on campus have been advised to shelter in a secure area. People are being advised to avoid the campus.
Reports of the shooting happened shortly before 10am local time.
The Student newspaper reports that the gunman was dressed in a black jacket and black trousers.
