The Stimson Center and Stimson’s 38 North program, working with the World Affairs Council of Kentucky and Southern Indiana, presents a panel of experts to discuss the importance of the US-South Korea alliance amidst such uncertainty. Based on their decades of experience, the panelists will offer informed commentary on the importance of the alliance as it relates to the wider strategic tapestry and web of US interests in the Asia-Pacific as well as the longstanding and deeply institutionalized nature of bilateral alliance relations on the Korean Peninsula.
The panel was moderated by Dr. Clint Work, a Stimson Fellow, and the featured speakers included Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Rick Martin of the American College of National Security Leaders (ACNSL) and Col. (Ret.) Steve Lee, Senior Vice President of Operations, Korea Defense Veterans Association (KDVA).
