Strategic Japan is a CSIS Japan Chair initiative to introduce research from Japanese scholars on regional and global challenges and the implications for the U.S.-Japan alliance.
This year, the Japan Chair invited four scholars to explore Japan's approach to competition in new domains. Issues include Japan's 5G security strategy, economic statecraft, digital governance, and the impact of technology on Japan's defense strategy.
