Drug manufacturer Moderna has begun testing its COVID-19 vaccine in children as young as 6 months old. The company says the trial will include an internal analysis to determine the most effective dosage, while also monitoring side effects.
Clinical epidemiologist and Head of the School of Population and Global Health at the University of Melbourne, Dr Nancy Baxter, says children are at much lower risk of having serious illness or dying from the disease.
