Hyderabad (Telangana), June 14 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao paid condolences on the sad demise of noted Telugu poet and lyricist Narayana Reddy. The Chief Minister visited the residence of Reddy in capital city Hyderabad and paid his last respects. Known for his contribution to Telugu literature, Jnanpith awardee breathed his last on Monday following brief illness. He developed heart complications and was declared brought dead at the Care Hospital. Addressing the media after his visit, KCR said, “The state is proud of him. I express my condolences. He lived a great life and a cultural rich. People thronged into his meetings to listen to his talks. I pray that his soul rest in peace.” Narayana Reddy had been honoured with several literary awards and degrees from numerous universities. Having penned down poetry, verses, proses, songs, travelogues, folk songs and ghazals, Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan Reddy also served the masses as a Rajya Sabha (RS) member.
