It's no secret that Remington has produced the deadliest mushroom in the woods since they began making ammunition in 1871.
At SHOT Show 2024 they introduced their new Copper CUT lineup which we should see in stores late summer or early fall. Jared Newman from HuntLeague meets up with Kris Carson, the director of centerfire products for Remington ammunition to discuss the launch of their new premium line of copper bullets.
Remington introduced Core-Lokt Copper last year and they are continuing to build on it with the new Copper CUT series. The new CUT ammunition will be available in 10 calibers including 7PRC & 6.5PRC as well as classics like the 300 Win Mag, 30-06 Springfield & 270 Win.
Copper bullets certainly have gained popularity over the past decade with higher speeds, flatter trajectories, and better overall weight retention. The new polymer tip Copper CUT bullets should provide reliable expansion at longer ranges which has often been the limitation of copper projectiles.
We are looking forward to getting our hands on the new Copper CUT lineup this fall. It will be hard for Remington to top the performance of the Core-Lokt Tipped bullets that won a HuntLeague Gear of the Year award in 2023.
