Steel pricing had been going up immediately after Russia invaded Ukraine in April and May of 2022. In recent months the price of metal has started to fall rather quickly, but as of August 2022 metal prices seem to be stabilizing. Headed into the later parts of 2022 we expect there will be minor price reductions.

PVDF coatings continue to escalate in price at an alarming rate. Painted metal coils have not really gone down in price because the lesser price of steel has been offset by the higher prices of the paint. In addition, the shortage of PVDF resins has not improved and will likely get worse.
