This is a compilation of clips showing trains in Scotland, recorded over a few days in April 2024.

This video was recorded over a few (wet) days while on a visit to Scotland. During the trip I visited Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow, to see some of the variety of services on offer in the country. The majority of services are provided are by ScotRail, a nationalised railway company that operates a varied fleet of trains. The majority of services now in Edinburgh and Glasgow are operated by Electric Multiple Units. Hitachi Class 385s dominate in Edinburgh, but also feature in Glasgow. Alstom Class 334s are also common to both cities. Glasgow is home to the older class of EMUs such as Class 320s, and the more modern Siemens Class 380s.

Diesel Multiple Units operate in all three cities, in the form of Sprinters such as the Class 156 and 158, and the Turbostar Class 170. One of the modified Class 153s for carrying bicycles features in Glasgow. Finally, a ScotRail Class 43 HST appears in Edinburgh on one of the "Inter7City" services.

Other operators do appear in this video. In Aberdeen, the arrival of the Caledonian Sleeper is recorded, hauled by two GBRf Class 73/9s in diesel mode. An LNER Azuma and a Transpennine Express Class 397 are seen in Edinburgh.
