Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Konig Self-Tensioning Low-Pro snow tire chains. Part number TH04115245. Keep in mind we're going to be doing these on tire size 225-65-R17.The V-ring style chain links offer great traction in snow and ice by offering more surface to surface contact. This diamond-pattern tire chain is going to offer more tire coverage as opposed to some other types of tire chains. The smaller V-links along with the diamond pattern are going to offer a much smoother ride. This inner chain is going to have a durable plastic coating to help protect your wheel's finish if it makes contact.
Another thing I like about these tire chains, it's going to come with the nylon tensioners that are already installed on the chain as opposed to some of the other ones where you would have to buy that extra piece. This center bar is going to be constructed of aluminum which is going to be rustproof and corrosion resistant. As part of the back it's going to have a rubber seal, that's going to protect your wheel's finish if any contact is made. These come in a quantity of two. If you have a four wheel drive vehicle and you'd like to purchase a second pair, just use the same part number. These self-tensioning tire chains are very easy to install. Now that we've gone over some of the features let's show you how to get them on.
First thing you're going to do to start your installation is you're going to lay your chains out and make sure you don't have any knots or kinks in them. The next thing you want to do, you're going to pull out this red tab here and then you have two tabs here, you're going to push in, slide this up and grab you're going to grab your two red ends and pull them apart. The next thing we're going to do is we're going to set our chains in place. We're going to make sure that this is going on top of the tire and just slowly you're just going to take your plastic ring and push it around to the backside of the tire on each side. You're going to pull this out and simply step on it.As you can see these are still loose.
With these being self-tensioning, the two red ends as you drive forward they're going to come together. And that'll do it for a look at an installation on a Konig Self-Tensioning, Low-Pro snow tire chains, part number TH04115245 on our 2016 Jeep Cherokee.
