Parippu Pradhaman is a traditional creamy and delicious dessert from Kerala, made of Moong Dal, Jaggery and Coconut Milk. It is prepared during festivals like Onam and Vishu. In Kerala, sadya is considered incomplete without varieties of Payasams and Parippu Pradhaman stands among top of them. Here is how Parippu Pradhaman is made.
Ingredients
Split Moong Dal - 2 Cups
Jaggery - 350 gm
Water - 4 ½ Cups
Ghee - 2 Tablespoons
Cashew Nuts - 2 Tablespoons
Raisins - 2 Tablespoons
Coconut Pieces - 2 Tablespoons
1st Coconut Milk - 1 cup
2nd Coconut Milk - 1 cup
3rd Coconut Milk - 2 cups
Cardamom Powder - ½ Teaspoon
Salt - One Pinch
