Winemaker Eric Texier talks about the difference between buying grapes as a negociant from the Cote Rotie and Chateauneuf du Pape and growing his own grapes in vineyards that he selected. As a negociant he knew the style of wine these famous sites produce, but as a grower he has to look more deeply into the soil and terroir of the place. Eric sat down with Ask a Winemaker in Chicago at Red and White Wines in October 2013.
