Welcome to our guide on donning procedures for DuPont™ Tychem® 6000 AL air-fed garments. In this video, we'll take you through the donning procedures of these protective suits, with variations based on your chosen style and features.
The Tychem® 6000 AL coverall is available in different configurations, such as styles TF630 or TF640, with options for attached socks, over-boots, gloves, or no gloves. Always seek assistance when donning or doffing air-fed chemical protective clothing to ensure safety.
The first step is to install the PPSGB air belt into your suit by attaching it to the air plenum. Confirm proper airflow, as the air belt's low flow alarm should sound if airflow falls below specified requirements. Find a secure location with seating to start donning your PPE. Follow the relevant steps to secure your feet and zip up the suit depending on your chosen style (TF630 with attached socks or TF640 with over-boots).
With the assistance of another person, fasten the belt around your waist, slip into the gloves, and attach the air supply line to the suit's air hose. Confirm that air is flowing into the suit without any low flow alarm. Your assistant will help secure the hood and zipper, ensuring a comfortable fit before you begin your work. You'll also learn how to quickly and safely exit the suit in an emergency.
