Cancer screening (testing to diagnose cancer at an early stage) is one important strategy to reduce the impact of cancer, including in cancer survivors. There are specific considerations for cancer screening for those who belong to a sexual or gender minority group, such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals. Dr. Hamnvik will review current cancer screening guidelines and factors to consider when applying these guidelines to LGBTQ+ populations.
