The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built in 652 by Xuanzang. It is seven storeys, 64 meters high. It was built to house the 657 Sanskrit texts, 7 statues of the Buddha and 150 Sarira relics brought to China from India by Xuanzang. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The current pagoda is a leaning tower, leaning somewhat one meter to the northwest.
