I've been wanting to try out these shoes for forever. So you know what that means... another haul! I picked a few out to try at the gym so I can let you know what I think. 

The goal of these shoes is to give your foot a little bit of protection but make you feel like you're as close to the ground as possible. This is important because we want to feel stable on the ground while lifting. Vivo focuses on stability rather than support or cushion. When you're squatting or lifting heavy, you want to feel like your feet are engaged and working into the floor. These shoes are supposed to help make that happen. Let's see if it's true!

Here's what I tried:

👟 Primus Lite III Mens, Size 10 ($170) - Right off the bat, while rowing, doing push ups, and some single leg romanian deadlifts, they got so dirty! Which is a bummer because I love them. They feel solid on the ground and I love how stable I feel while lifting. A little pricey, but worth the investment. 

👟 Primus Lite Knit Mens, Size 10 ($135) - I'd give this pair an 8/10. Overall, a really phenomenal shoe. I like how it hugs your foot while you're working out. 

👟 Motus Strength Mens, Size 10 ($200) - I really enjoyed lifting in these. Doing front squats in the Motus Strength felt great. They were not my favorite for some of the movements that have a bit more impact though due to the low cushion.


Word to the wise: I bought my 'normal' shoe size but they all came a little big. They only have full sizes. I normally wear a size 10 shoe, but a size 10 was way too big. I'll get a size 9 next time.
