The RAF Regiment and RAF Police fight to protect the Air Force at home and on deployed operations. This is achieved at range from our bases, on our airfields around next generation aircraft and sometimes on our transport aircraft during flight. The use of excessive force to defend our people and aircraft, however, has the potential to harm the very thing we seek to protect.
Our programme of defensive tactics breeds a combat mindset and equips our people to defeat threats in very close quarters. This is just one lever the RAF Force Protection Force uses to enable the projection of Air Power to continue unhindered, both at home and overseas.
