The dark bay or brown colt is out of the winning Mineshaft mare Miss Ocean City, whose two winners to date include With Anticipation S. (G2) winner Azar (Scat Daddy).
Offered as Hip 118 by Pike Racing, agent, the session-topping Virginia-bred colt was purchased by Donato Lanni, agent for Michael Lund Petersen.
Petersen purchased record-breaking 2019 sale topper Gamine, now a stakes record-setting Grade 1 winner after her scintillating victory in the 2020 Acorn S. (G1).
