A hyper awareness of the world's problems can block us from even considering contributing to solutions, but impact on the individual level is more accessible than we think. A Contribution Mindset reevaluates our concept of "doing good" and shifts away from an antiquated model requiring a departure from our current reality to make an impact. No need to split ourselves in two, opportunities to live a life of purpose already exist within our current circumstance – but we need to re-frame our mindset in order to see them. Julie has dedicated her career to driving social and environmental change through the fashion industry and is currently the Director of Sustainability and Social Impact at Urban Outfitters and Free People, of URBN Inc. Working with corporations, nonprofits, start-ups, and entrepreneurially in the Americas, Europe, and Asia she has built systems where sustainable and inclusive solutions can thrive. As a Chilean-American she holds a special passion for empowering the Latinx community. Julie serves on the Board of nonprofits Girls Inc, Mercado Global, Cuba Skate and LIM College. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from IESE Business School.
