In this video we're going to teach you everything about casting a baitcaster. How exactly do you cast these intimidating reels called casting reels. Baitcasting reels are used for a variety of fishing techniques so it's really important as you advance in your fishing career to learn exactly how to cast these awesome setups. If you fish bass lakes with heavy cover, cast spoons for steelhead, finesse fish the edges of lily pads, and so many more fishing techniques we could talk about... you NEED to consider learning how to use a baitcasting setup because it will help you catch more fish! Apply firm pressure on the spool with your thumb as you start your cast to help prevent the spool from backlashing, and then gradually back off on the pressure to feather your line out during the remainder of the cast.
