In this video, I'll show you three ways to create a beautiful even color transition or gradients using watercolor. In all cases, we'll be working wet on dry. The tutorial is suitable for beginners, but may also be of interest if you already have some experience.
First, I'll show you which materials you'll need. It goes pretty fast, so I'll list them here for you too:
- watercolor paper
- tape
- watercolor paint. Use colors that are harmonious. So red and yellow, blue and yellow, etc. I use the primary color set from Daniel Smith, but you can also use the 12 pan set from Winsor and Newton.
- two glasses of water
- brushes, for example flat and round, but not too small because the result might become stripy
- kitchen paper or an old cloth.
