Every shot from my round at Creigiau Golf Club in Creigiau, Cardiff, on 24th May 2024.
I'd been eyeing up a round at Creigiau for a while and noticed an amazing deal if you play before 8am on certain days so I snapped it up and booked for an early bird round.
It's a typical parkland course with many tight driving holes that require you to be accurate, not my greatest forte with my perennial fade/slice but I still managed to hit a reasonable number of fairways from which to size up my approaches.
Once on the greens, the course really shone with all of them showing great pace, consistency and line - a real testament to the ground staff who have worked wonders in transforming the course from the terrible winter weather we've suffered into a great experience.
There are a few standout holes with the 4th probably my favourite, driving down from an elevated tee, although 15 and 16 were certainly in the running too!
It was fairly quiet on the course but all the members and staff that I did bump in to were really chatty and friendly, very courteous green staff as well that paused their mowing when taking a shot 👍
I very much enjoyed my morning at Creigiau and can imagine with a couple of weeks drier weather the course will be in perfect shape once the fairways have dried a little more.
