Kara Walker is best known for her candid investigation of race, gender, sexuality, and violence using historical images and forms. For the 2018 Walter Annenberg Annual Lecture, she speaks with Adam D. Weinberg, the Whitney's Alice Pratt Brown Director, about her practice and discusses how art can address the ongoing legacy of slavery in contemporary American life.
