To make this beautiful dessert Greek custard filo roll/ GALAKTOBOUREKO / Murads kitchen
For Custard
2 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 tablespoon of vanilla
2 tablespoon of corn flour
3 tablespoon of semolina
Pinch of salt
For syrup
2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/2 lemon
For wrapping
16 sheet filo sheets
125 gm butter melted
Step 1
Preheat the oven 180 degrees c
Step 2
To make the syrup put the sugar and water in a pan bring to boil . Add half lemon juice and the lemon in the syrup. When sugar melted keep a side to cool.
Step3
To make custard,
Pour the milk in a pan bring to boil.
Now in a bowl put the eggs, sugar, salt, corn flour, semolina mix well.
Now pour bit by bit hot milk. Don’t pour all at once. Whisk well. Now mix both together. And simmer until the custard are thick. Keep a side and cool.
Step 4
In a baking tray brush with melted butter.
Now take a filo sheet fold half lengthwise. Place 1 table spoon of custard bottom of the pastry sheet. Fold both side and roll. Then place in the baking tray , bush with melted butter. Keep doing all the pastry sheets.
Now bake them 20 to 25 minutes untilthey are golden brown.
Step 5
Take them out of the oven and drizzle the cold syrup on top . Let them absorb the syrup. Now serve yummy delicious dessert.
