Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi, who was arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a female journalist, was released on bail on Monday evening. Police is about to initiate probe whether actor Srinath Bhasi used drugs in the case of being rude to the presenter during the interview. Samples of Bhasi's fingernails, hair and blood have been sent to the police for testing. Meanwhile, the Producers Association has asked the actor and the producer of the film Chattambi to appear today.Maradu police arrested Srinath Bhasi last day. Later, the actor was released on bail by the station. Maradu police directed Srinath Bhasi to appear at the station at 10 am on Monday. But the actor asked some more time but the police did not allow it. With this, the actor appeared with his friends around one o'clock in the afternoon. After questioning, he was arrested at five o'clock. The case was registered under the section of station bail. The actor was released on bail in the evening. The journalist has filed a complaint with the Women's Commission and the Producers' Association as well .
After this, some verbal complaints were also received by the police. In this situation, the police have decided to examine the footage of the interview. After his arrest, Srinath Bhasi's fingernails, hair and blood were collected from the Tripunithura taluk hospital.The footage of the interview up to that point had been collected from the hotel by the police following the complaint of the presenter that the actor verbally abused her.
