The Election Commission is likely to announce the schedule for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections. The poll body is scheduled to announce polling dates at 11.30 am. There are 224 seats in the Karnataka assembly, a party needs 113 seats to get the majority. There are 2.59 women voters and in total 5.21 crore voters. The number also includes 16,976 centenarians, 4,699 third gender and 9.17 lakh first time voters.
