Dive into an immersive indoor cycling experience with our training app ’Open Road’ for PC. The app lets you take control of the speed of our cycling videos and provides a much better indoor cycling experience than with YouTube. It is compatible with all ANT+ cycling devices including smart trainers, power meters and speed sensors. Athletes with spinning and exercise bikes without ANT+ compatibility can use the app too and enjoy riding with all the important cycling data displayed during the training session.

About the Road to Milford Sound (Knobs Flat from Te Anau):
The road to Milford Sound (Milford Road) is one of the most scenic in the world. This ride is simply stunning and passes mountain ranges, glacier-carved valleys, clear blue lakes and native. The route takes you along the first half of the Milford Road, a road which takes you takes you to New Zealand’s most famous tourist attraction, Milford Sound. The route starts at the lakeshore of Te Anau and ride through the charming town. As you reach the main road you start to have great views of the mountains. After 17 kilometers / 10. 5 miles you reach the cooling rain forest. From here on the ride is a shifting palette of open spaces with beautiful views of mountains, glacier valleys, and nice cooling rainforest. The climbs on this road is mostly gentle, and do not exceed 8 percent. Often the climbs take you up to stunning panoramic vistas of mountain ranges. After 35 kilometers / 21.75 miles you get to alpine grasslands with sheep where you can enjoy uninterrupted views. From here you start to ride in valleys formed by ancient glaciers. Occasionally you get views of the Eglinton River which runs parallel with the Milford Road. As you reach Knobs Flat, you have climbed 694 meters / 2277 feet and are halfway on your journey to Milford Sound.

Adding music to the ride:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is awesome. But when it comes to music opinions are very mixed. This is why we do not add music to our rides. We simply do not want to spoil your ride with music you do not like. But it is quite simple to add it yourself. Open an extra browser tab. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, YouTube, etc…) and pick the music you like and enjoy the ride...
