The devastating terror attacks in Paris have left the French and other European countries’ tourism industries experiencing chills, as the number of tourists has fallen due to safety concerns. Paris is the center of a tourist industry that makes up around 8% of the French economy. However, hotel revenues in the city dropped 40 percent from 2014 levels, while restaurant incomes have fallen by a similar margin, according to figures from STR Global, a hotel data specialist.
