I am a “ fauxtographer” in other words I have a nice camera and I love to take pictures of my kids... I have been doing their portraits for about 10 years now.
I work as the director of Family Ministries at church and we frequently have photo opts . I bought these lights so we would have a set to use when I have to be the resident photographer.
They are super easy to set up and put off great light. I only set up one when I was playing around with them checking them out. I am super excited about owing these.
next I plan to buy a frame for our photo back drops!

As an armature photographer I was looking for something to help me get better images of items I post on the Internet and help with family photos, which I really need to take more of.
This light set has provided me exactly what I was looking for. Honestly, its better than expected.The quality of the entire product is above what I tend to expect out of this entry-level photography equipment I have been purchasing on Amazon.
They are always good enough for use at home, but this actually high enough quality that I would not worry about light travel or regular professional use.Lighting is easy to put together and everything stays well in place.
I mean, like really, really easy to put together. Just a couple pops into place and its ready to go. The tripods are nice for the use.
They get taller than others like this and the metal just feels a little thicker to me.I am finding the the bulbs get fairly warm - too hot to hold. However, they cool down very quickly.
Less than a minute and I can place them back in their foam packaging. Also, the lighting is not adjustable - on/off only. But the hue is just about right for portrait work.The case works quite well for me.
Its actually two cases to go in the case to protect the lighting fixture. The bulbs got in foam packaging in boxes and the tripods just have boxes.
