스틸웰 미 차관보 "한일수출분쟁 WTO절차 활용 지지... 대화 기대"

U.S. Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, David Stilwell, is stressing the need for South Korea and Japan to resolve their trade dispute through dialogue,... adding that he endorses the use of the WTO's framework.
Speaking via tele-conference Thursday,... he explained that Seoul and Tokyo should engage in a degree of dialogue even if the trade issue cannot be resolved fully.
During the briefing held to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War,... Stilwell also highlighted the ironclad alliance between Seoul and Washington.
He added that the U.S. will never forget those who sacrificed their lives to safeguard liberty and democracy.
