TRC Knives South Pole MagnaCut
DBCM Canvas Micarta handles
A knife I wanted to try when it came in Elmax steel but was soldo out, the MagnaCut version was very appealing so I took the change and got #00140, low serial number, shipping tool merely 3 days plus weekend.
The blade is 115mm/4.5" long, so a medium survival and bushcraft knife, the high sabre grind is hand applied and vertical satined, with stonewashed flats.
It has a generous index groove and protruding tang, Extremely well rounded, so good it fits the knife well.
The handles are DBCM so, I assume Dark Black Canvas Micarta, sanded so well there's no canvas thread visible. With a wavy pattern to enhance grip, the pattern is comfortable with bare hands.
There's a jimping on the rounded spine and a lanyard hole with a small lanyard already attached.
The kydex sheath it completely rounded, no visible coupling is visible, there's a drain hole, tension screw and nylon loop.
The knife came with a pvc patch, metal sticker and a small booklet with pictures, details and certificate of the knife you get.
The F&F is truly outstanding for a semi industrial knife, the fact TRC is known for its high quality and attention to details is true.
I'll make a deeper review of it hopefully soon
