The Chariot
Seventh Major Arcana card
1. The Chariot card is about action. You have made a decision and are now moving forward with it.
2. Moving forward is also leaving things in the past. There is water right behind the chariot which is symbolic of emotions. Typically one must get past certain emotions to move forward and the charioteer has done this.
3. There are two sphinx leading the way yet not tied to each other or the chariot. One is black and one is white. The sphinx is a lion with the head of a human. The greek version is aggressive and malicious while the Egyptian version is benevolent and generous. This is symbolic of the journeys we take in life. There is good and bad in all of it.
4. Above the charioteer is a cover with stars. This is a brightly colored card and the drape of night indicates that the stars are protecting him.
5. This card has a lot of yellow in it. This is indicative of the Manipura chakra which is located behind our tummies and reminds us to have self confidence and rely on our gut feelings.
The cool thing about tarot is that it is a beautiful tool to help you connect to your intuition and the surrounding energies. The five things are not hard and fast rules and the more you study a card the more you see and the more it means. Always go with your inner knowing and consider these 5 things as guidelines.
