One of my absolute favourites from Stability Builder™️ for improving posture, shoulder blades control and all round general shoulder happiness!
This Retraction Circuit has so many awesome benefits and I rate it higher than the more famous “face pull” exercise. I'd prefer to anyone to spent their time doing retractions instead!
However, like any exercises, you'll only get the benefits if you do it properly:
💪 Move slowly
💪 Shoulders down & away from your ears
💪 Focus on using your back muscles (not your arms)
💪 PAUSE at your end range!
😨 Don't just bounce in and out of the movement!
Doing one side at a time allows you to achieve more range of motion before doing both sides at the same time, allowing for extra benefits!
If you have rounded shoulders or tight pecs then hammer this exercise daily for a while and you’ll notice things improve dramatically!
Combine these with the Banded Shoulder Dislocate and you’ll be smooth sailing with your shoulder mobility for a long time to come!
